A couple of very rough color studies are below.
These are really preliminary; they tell me that the gorilla's black coat is going to dominate the picture unless I deliberately plan around it, and the fez needs to be bright, like a red, to stand out enough to justify being a continuing element later in the story. Also still playing with Bert's coloration here. Probably will end up blond, as it'll stand out better among the various animals' fur colors.
